About the role
Would you like to be part of a visible and engaged Group Non‑Financial Risk Management function within the Second Line of Defence, contributing to risk oversight across Saxo Bank Group?
We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our Technology, Cyber & Data Risk Management team. The team operates within the Second Line of Defence and is responsible for independent oversight, effective challenge, and risk guidance across technology, cyber and data.
In the role of Risk Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to support sound risk management practices in an organisation where technology, data and digital innovation are at the core of business strategy and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide review, challenge, and guidance for risk assessments (including Risk and Control Self-Assessments), events, incidents, scenario analysis, and thematic reviews within the following risk types:
- Technology
- Cyber
- Data Governance and Data Quality
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies
- Contingency (business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management)
- Physical Security
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and socialisation of frameworks and policies, including ICT, Data and Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
- Support risk awareness across the organisation, showcasing the ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational risk management practices.
- Engage with a broad set of stakeholders across Technology, Security, Data, Compliance and senior management, acting as a credible and constructive risk partner.
Your profile
- You hold a relevant graduate degree and bring relevant professional experience to the role, with a strong foundation from technology, cyber, data or non‑financial risk management, preferably in a regulated financial institution.
- A strong understanding of Second Line of Defence responsibilities, including establishing and maintaining risk frameworks and methodologies, and providing independent challenge and guidance on their effective operationalisation.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills to foster positive cooperation, while you uphold key principles and requirements. You thrive in an international, cross-cultural environment, engaging effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Your strong communication skills facilitate successful interaction and collaboration across the organisation.
- Experience with regulatory requirements in a regulated financial institution (e.g., EU DORA, EBA Guidelines). An understanding of established ICT and security standards such as ISO 27001 or NIST CSF 2.0 is a plus.
- The ability to form and articulate clear guidance and observations, both in writing and verbally.
- A structured, analytical mindset with attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger risk picture and strategic considerations.
- An interest in ICT and security, including emerging technology and developments in the threat landscape.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar Governance, Risk and Compliance systems.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
