Job Purpose:
Our Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing vendor confirmations to ensure that purchases orders are received, confirmed accurately and following up on open purchase orders or lines that are past their due date. Additional tasks include working with warehouses on resolving receiving discrepancies, working with accounts payable to resolve vendor invoice discrepancies (APDs), and working with vendors, Inventory Analysts, and the field on business related issues.
Job Responsibilities:
● Build relationships with vendors and leveraging relationships to solve problems, such as expediting late POs, improving delivery dates, etc. Achieve specific procurement goals or provide support to others while following established procurement systems and protocols.
● Carry out a range of contract management tasks, including verification of vendor acknowledgements for delivery date, cost. quantity and terms, as well as questioning cost discrepancies.
● Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and input into standard formats.
● Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for more senior colleagues to provide solid market information for decision making.
● Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures and escalating issues as appropriate.
● Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.

● Assist in developing appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
● Work at an intermediate level to create and run queries and interact with various database interfaces.
● Salary $50,000 - $54,000 annually
Work Experience:
● 1-3 years of related job experience.
● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
● Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Education:
● Bachelor's Degree Preferred
