[Project] Senior Estimator

Working Location: Site Based – West SumbawaWorking Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

Some of your duties will include:

Responsible for developing accurate capital cost estimates (CAPEX) for mining, processing, infrastructure, and expansion projects during concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and execution preparation stagesSupports the Project Development team by providing reliable cost analysis, benchmarking, contractor evaluation, and financial input for project investment decisionsPrepare capital cost estimates for mining, processing plants, infrastructure, tailings facilities, utilities, and logistics systems.Develop cost estimates across project stages including conceptual, scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and definitive estimates.Develop cost models, parametric estimates, and benchmarking databases for mining and mineral processing projects.Analyze cost drivers such as equipment cost, labor productivity, materials, logistics, and site conditions.Review engineering deliverables such as equipment lists, material take-offs, process flow diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.Evaluate contractor bids and vendor quotations and support tender clarification processes.Conduct cost risk analysis and contingency assessments.Maintain internal cost databases including equipment cost libraries and historical project benchmarks.Prepare cost estimate reports including estimate basis documentation and cost breakdown structures.Support investment approval documentation and project stage gate reviews.

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.Minimum 10–12 years of experience in cost estimation with at least 5 years of experience as Senior Estimator for large capital projects in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects.Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificatePossesses strong knowledge of CAPEX estimation methodologies and cost breakdown structures, with experience in EPC/EPCM project environments and familiarity with AACE International cost estimation standards.Demonstrates advanced cost estimation and financial analysis capabilities, strong analytical and quantitative skills, solid understanding of mining and mineral processing project development, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
