Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring successful project delivery. Senior-level candidates will be expected to manage larger-scale projects and provide leadership across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage full project lifecycle for commercial construction projects Oversee ground-up construction, with strong emphasis on wood framing projects Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial projections Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines Lead subcontractor buyout process, including negotiation and contract execution Oversee change order management, pricing, and client approvals Coordinate and supervise project teams, including superintendents and field staff Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and subcontractors Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction Proven experience managing projects with at least: $20M+ in active project value (Project Manager level) $40M+ in active project value (Senior Project Manager level preferred) Strong experience in ground-up construction and wood framing Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and field coordination efforts Strong background in scheduling, budgeting, and cost control Experience with buyout, contract negotiations, and change management Proficient in financial tracking and forecasting of project performance Travel Requirements Primarily local/regional work within a 3-hour radius of St. Louis, MO Occasional overnight travel (approximately 1–2 times per month, typically 1–2 nights) Ideal Candidate Profile Strong leadership and communication skills Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive problem solver with strong ownership mindset Comfortable working both in office and on active job sites
