NST is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead field operations and management activities in South Sumatra on behalf of our client in the energy sector.
In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, drive cross-functional coordination, and serve as the primary liaison between the client, government bodies, and local communities. This position demands strong leadership, structured communication, and the ability to manage complexity in a dynamic operational environment.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage field teams to ensure all operations run in accordance with SOP and project targetsDevelop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all operational activitiesEngage and coordinate with local government institutions, including NGO, and surrounding communitiesCoordinate regulatory compliance and permitting processes with relevant government authoritiesMonitor project plans, schedules, and budgets — identifying risks and driving timely resolutionLead crisis and issue management in field operations with a structured, solution-oriented approachReport project performance regularly to management and provide input on operational decisionsCollaborate directly with the Board of Directors on key business and operational decisions
QualificationsBachelor's degree in any field — Engineering, Management, or related disciplines preferredMinimum 5–10 years of professional experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead roleBackground in technical project management (construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial operations) is a strong advantageStrong leadership and team management skills in the field or operational settingsProven ability to communicate and negotiate with government bodies, regulators, and local communitiesExperience in stakeholder engagement and cross-institutional coordinationAbility to manage crisis situations and make decisions under pressureDomicile or prior work experience in South Sumatra is preferredWilling to be based in Palembang - Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra
