Job Description Job Description Job Title: Project Manager/Engineer Location: New Jersey, Atlantic City Area Clearance Requirements: Public Trust Job Description: GGTI seeks a Project Manager/Engineer with senior or mid-career experience levels to support the independent Safety Assessment Team within the Federal Aviation Administration. This position primarily supports project management and execution of operational assessments for FAA hardware and software systems planned to be implanted into the National Airspace System. The responsibilities include applying project management and systems engineering expertise for project planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting findings. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the FAA Acquisition Management System Lifecycle and a test and an evaluation background to analyze/evaluate system and data for the purposes of identifying potential operational issues, and recommendations for their mitigation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Plan, lead, and execute multi-year assessment programs/projects with minimal guidance. · Provide technical leadership and recommendation to support team and FAA managers. · Manage a cross-functional team of analysts, subject matter experts, engineers, and documentation specialists to plan and execute assessments, and develop and document findings. · Network and interact with stakeholders to manage information, documentation, and schedules. · Review safety engineering and technical analysis reports, database reports, and other technical documentation and reports on trends and lessons learned. · Apply engineering principles to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, and quality assurance. · Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. · Bachelor’s Degree in the field of engineering, mathematics, operations research, or statistics/probability is preferred. · Ability to pass a Government background check. · Experience in data analysis in high operational risk industry, preferably aviation. · Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and lead others. · Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with technical experts and high–level management. · Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. · Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: · Education or demonstrated experience in systems engineering or test and evaluation · Knowledge of FAA Acquisition Management System Lifecycle · Knowledge of understanding Safety Management Systems · Experience with and able to effectively use project management tools and collaboration software including MS Project, MS Team, Smartsheet, etc. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint experience preferred.
