Production Planner Full-Time Permanent£35,000 - £45,000 per annum + BenefitsAre you an experienced Production Planner, Production Scheduler, Manufacturing Planner or Operations Planner looking for your next opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?We are recruiting for a highly organised and detail-focused Production Planner to join a growing manufacturing business delivering high-quality precision products to a wide range of industries. This is a key role within the operations team, supporting production efficiency, on-time delivery and effective workload coordination across the business.This role would suit candidates with experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, capacity planning or ERP-driven production coordination.The Role - Production Planner / Manufacturing SchedulerAs Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising production schedules to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and effectively.You will work closely with production, purchasing, engineering and management teams to ensure materials, labour and machine capacity are aligned to deliver smooth production flow and on-time delivery performance.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage detailed production schedules in line with customer demand and delivery deadlinesCoordinate workloads across manufacturing departments to optimise capacity and efficiencyLiaise with production, purchasing and management teams to ensure material and labour availabilityMonitor job progress through the factory and adjust schedules where requiredIdentify production bottlenecks and proactively communicate risks, delays or capacity issuesMaintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems relating to production planning and schedulingSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow, efficiency and productivityAssist in achieving on-time delivery targets and operational performance KPIsWork closely with internal teams to improve production visibility and planning accuracyProduction Planner RequirementsPrevious experience in a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or Manufacturing Planning roleExperience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environmentStrong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow and capacity planningConfident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office packagesAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to work under pressure and adapt plans to changing prioritiesExperience within engineering manufacturing is advantageousWhat's On OfferCompetitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per yearNew starter incentive paymentShorter working day on FridaysSupportive and collaborative team environmentOngoing training and career development opportunitiesSecure, full-time permanent position within a growing manufacturing businessApply NowIf you are an experienced Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner, Production Scheduler or Operations Planner looking for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.Apply today with your up-to-date CV.Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
