Position Title: Product Verification & Validation Planning/Reliability Engineer
Job Location: Horicon, WI
Duration: 12 months
Major Purpose
Performs basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.
Major Duties
- Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.
- Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
- Support drafting of engineering standards and specifications and evaluate the effectiveness of those standards.
- Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations on remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change‑management programs to address them.
- Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Work collaboratively with other professional teams and across organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support.
- Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.

- Identifies, verifies, and manages changes to the scope of a project or program at an intermediate level.
- Analyzes data trends for use in reports to guide decision making.
- Identifies assumptions to manage risk, assesses success with measurable evaluation criteria, and evaluates alignment of requirements with solution scope.
- Creates rules for requirements and design quality, performs verification activities, and maintains quality control.
- Manages projects and/or programs within desired cost, time, and quality parameters.
- Builds the structure and culture of the project team, defines roles and responsibilities, and enables project goals.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level.
Specific Position Requirements
- 4‑year engineering or technology degree.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and execute test and/or analysis plans for product verification and validation.
- Ability to plan and coordinate test and analysis work for projects varying in complexity from single component to complete development programs of broad scope.
- Ability to aid in establishing short‑ and long‑term objectives, goals, and priorities.
- Ability to operate in a team environment within PV&V (Product Verification and Validation) and the engineering design community.
- Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Ability to communicate within a cross‑functional team across multiple sites to drive results.
- Ability to lead and execute vehicle tests.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically to support field or external laboratory testing.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
- Able to work 1st shift position.
- Metatarsals shoes/boots are required.
What Sets the Candidate Apart
- Experience with product verification/validation planning and execution.
- Knowledge of systematic corrective action processes (PDCA, 8D, 5 Why, etc.).
- Exposure to riding lawn equipment and/or utility vehicle (UTV, ATV) products and applications.
