Position Overvi ew As t he Product Special ist, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert, specification guardian, and administrative anchor for a designated vehicle model across the Omoda and Jaecoo portfolios. This role focuses on commercial product configuration and feature liter acy rather than engineering desi gn.You will own the lifecycle data for your assigned model, ensuring total accuracy across build sheets, digital configurators, and industry databases, while providing critical administrative and compliance support to the wider product and operations tea ms.
Responsibilit ies: 1. Model Ownership & Specification Manag ementProduct Champion ship: Act as the definitive local expert on your assigned vehicle model's lifecycle, variant structures, and future upd ates.Specification Matrix Manage ment: Maintain flawless accuracy of all vehicle equipment lists, trim levels, optional packs, color combinations, and standalone opt ions.Asset Align ment: Cross-reference factory build sheets against marketing materials, price lists, and digital configurators to ensure consumer-facing data is 100% cor rect.Market Benchmar king: Conduct regular specification audits against competitor models to identify product gaps and packaging opportuni ties. 2. Feature Literacy & Commercial Produc t TechUser-Technology Expe rtise: Develop an expert operational knowledge of user-facing vehicle features, including infotainment systems, connectivity, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) menus.Commercial EV Compe tency: Maintain a fluent understanding of everyday electric vehicle attributes—such as range metrics, charging speeds, and connector compatibility—to support sales and fleet qu eries.Factory Li aison: Review technical option codes and engineering update bulletins from global headquarters, translating them into commercial product updates for the local team. 3.
Team Administration & Ope rationsIndustry Database Mana gement: Own the accurate, timely input of vehicle data into internal tracking systems and external industry benchmarking tools (e.g., JATO Dyn amics).Cross-Functional Administ ration: Provide administrative support to bridge the local product department with sales operations, aftersales, and regional ne tworks.Documentation C ontrol: Draft and distribute official product briefing notes, trim walk guides, and variant comparison sheets for internal and dealer netwo rk use. 4. Regulatory Support & Homo logationCompliance Coord ination: Assist the product team in tracking and organizing regulatory paperwork required for local market type-a pproval.Build Verif ication: Audit inbound factory order configurations against local market compliance requirements to identify and rectify specification errors prior to s hipping. Requi rements: Automotive Experience ( Required): 2–3 years within an automotive OEM, national sales company, fleet provider, or major dealer group (ideally in product planning, vehicle ordering, distribution, product Development or a product special ist role).engineering background (R equired): hold a degree in engineering and have a thorough understanding of automotive en gineering.Homologation Exposure (Preferred but Not E ssential): Prior administrative exposure to vehicle type-approval, tracking emissions documentation, or dealing with automotive regulatory bodies is adv antageous.High Attention to Detail: Exceptional administrative rigor; a natural affinity for working with data matrices, spreadsheet data, and complex opt ion codes.Clear Comm unication: Ability to synthesize complex specification data into clean, easy-to-understand produ ct guides.Organizationa l Agility: Capable of prioritizing operational and administrative tasks in a fast-paced en vironment.
