Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Deputy Systems Verification Lead to join our team within the System Integration & Test Long‑Range Radars Department. The team is looking for a self‑motivated Principal Systems Engineer who will support X‑Band Radar technology, collaborating on requirements verification and systems engineering integration at our Woburn, MA location. This includes supporting the Systems Verification and Integration tasks, scope planning to create milestones and schedules, and managing competing priorities.
Typical daily activities executed by the team include scenario development, testing, analysis, support to software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations. The individual will contribute to growing the team’s capabilities and work with both internal and external customers.
What You Will Do
- Provide support to the Systems Verification Lead on requirements verification tasks and scope planning, creating milestones, scheduling/management of competing task priorities, and customer presentations.
- Strengthen the team’s data analysis, requirements verification, systems integration, software development, and collaboration with internal and external customers.
- Develop scenarios to support testing, data analysis, and software development.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to resolve radar technical issues.
- Support program execution and growth through continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.
- Coordinate across organizational disciplines and functions to identify team/work issues, resolve roadblocks, and ensure completion of team objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, and/or Unix.
- Experience with Doors and system integration, test, technical projects, and/or verification.
- Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience compiling, summarizing, and presenting data analysis to internal and external stakeholders, including program leadership and external customers, and collaborating across engineering functions to drive performance and resolve issues.
- Experience with risk and opportunity, coaching teams in agile and DevSecOps processes, implementing agile methodologies, and executing the team’s backlog including performance analysis and issue investigation.
- Experience participating in daily stand‑up meetings, monthly sprint reviews, quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning meetings, retrospectives, and implementing best practices for predictable/repeatable workflows.
- Skilled in removing task impediments, estimating task sizing, verifying backlog readiness for planning and execution, tracking/reporting team agile metrics, and facilitating new process and technology integration.
- Experience with X‑Band Radar analysis tools, hands‑on root cause identification, corrective action implementation, systems integration, systems verification, and working with customers to plan and execute program test activities.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good‑faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to role, function, associated responsibilities, candidate work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
