The Role
The Pricing & Contracts Analyst maintains pricing data and provides support for the daily and monthly pricing for all Crude & NGL business units. Assists internal parties in the evaluation of opportunities for customers by providing pricing data support. Coordinates the preparation and execution of Crude & NGL Marketing contracts.
What You Will Do
- Gather, update and verify all daily and monthly prices into ETRM systems (ie. Right Angle) for invoicing and financial reporting.
- Prepare end‑of‑day (EOD) or daily marks, which involves compiling North American market data and determining index, spot, and forward prices.
- Handle month end estimates and settlements, while adhering to tight deadlines and time constraints.
- Maintain all trucking freight rates, mileage and fuel surcharges in RA for invoicing.
- Prepare equalization reconciliations for cost recovery.
- Maintain, analyze and update tariffs, EQs, and differentials as they relate to commercial deals.
- Prepare and complete monthly pricing confirmations with counterparties for all Stream and US Crude product deals.
- Investigate, resolve and communicate pricing differences with external counterparties.
- Manage verification, distribution and warehousing of Purchase and Sales contracts.
- Obtain and validate contract approvals to comply with Internal Controls.
- Develop relationships with counterparties in other organizations, maintain communication and resolve routine or minor contract issues when required.
- Troubleshoot transaction entry problems as they relate to contracts and work with schedulers and deal entry to resolve the issue.
- Manage contract and pricing group email boxes.
- Maintain Master Data and vendor setup as required in our systems.
- Establish rapport with internal and external counterparties and facilitate teamwork.
- Draw logical conclusions and see the implications of industry/market events or information.
- Contribute to decisions taken within the team and put forward alternative solutions.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensure safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of NGL and crude oil pricing is preferred.
- Understanding of crude oil production is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with North American crude and NGL markets.
- Experience with RightAngle and/or other ETRM systems, including system implementation, is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to identify trends, patterns, and key insights in data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and an understanding of the impact of pricing on customers.
- Open to new ideas and approaches, with a willingness to continuously improve.
