With facilities across Canada, KF is home to over 1,200 highly skilled individuals. Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch. JOB OVERVIEW The Paint Project Coordinator reports to the Paint Supervisor.
The role focuses on the delivery and coordination of incoming & outgoing projects within the Paint Department at KF Aerospace to support the successful management of the portfolio of projects. The Paint Project Coordinator is responsible for creating Project Packages & all associated documents (and updating them as required), supporting the Paint supervisor in the management of core project activities with an emphasis on scope, schedule and cost management, and administering post- production package changes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Project Coordination Assist in all phases of Paint Project Delivery, with specific focus on scope, schedule and cost management components, at the direction of the paint supervisor and in-line with other role specific responsibilities.
Maintain & update Gantt charts throughout the course of the project to assist in project schedule management Maintain project scheduling systems (MS Project and JIRA) to provide visibility of resource utilisation by project and across all hangar projects Maintain JIRA topical Assign unassigned work orders daily Monitor supply of priority parts and output of internal supply and service teams and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to agreed milestones and invoke standard project controls where supply does not meet these milestones. Maintain Risks and Issues Registers and track and manage all assigned actions Monitor and track escalations. Provide input into the development and establishment of the Governance framework for the Project.
Contribute to Governance forums across their Projects to ensure that both internal and external stakeholders are proactively engaged and informed. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders, especially the Paint team Contribute to internal Project status and Executive Governance reporting. Liaise with the Trade Compliance Customs Support Specialist with regards to inbound international aircraft Set up project meetings and take meeting minutes Communicate with the internal departments as needed Liaise with KF drawing control Provide timely and accurate customer support as required Administration Update Business Development of additional customer work requests Coordinate Maintenance Customer Orders requirements Set up, check & update M3 materials planning – update info to the plan but planning belongs elsewhere Print project package & associated documents Apply copies Safety Management System/Safety alerts to applicable tasks Review previous visit maintenance history Update cover sheet data/forward to central planning as required Administer post-production package changes Assist the Paint Supervisor in the management of portfolio operations Review & release Maintenance Customer Orders pre draw & tasks Update aircraft hours and cycles in M3 system Assist with equipment rentals Review and update hangar manager checklist for fixed bid tasks removed or not performed Maintain customer heavy maintenance schedule Any other duties as assigned by the Paint Supervisor REQUIREMENTS Experience in a Production Support role Strong understanding of Project management principles – CAPM certification is considered an asset General knowledge of Paint procedure operations is considered an asset Proficient computer skills, specifically MS Project, JIRA, Lawson M3 and MS Excel Strong organizational and planning skills Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Ability to work with deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy Customer Service focus Flexible and adaptable BENEFITS & WAGE Full-Time staff benefits include (but are not limited to): Health and Dental Short & Long-Term Disability Health Spending Account Paid vacation and Personal time off The opportunity to bank overtime Pension matching plan and voluntary RRSP Employee & Family Assistance Program Free financial advice A bonus program based on organizational performance SALARY The wage band is level 6, $56,600– $70,800 annually, depending on the knowledge and experience.
