Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Overnight Seasonal Security Staff Department: Safety ServicesReports To: Safety Services SupervisorMinimum Age: 18Salary: $15.00/hourShift: 11pm-7am Position Summary: The Lakeside Security Staff, under the supervision of the Lakeside Safety Services Supervisor, supports new safety initiatives and ensures the ongoing safety and security of Lakeside Chautauqua. We are seeking an energetic, self-starting individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills. For more information, visit lakesideohio.com/employment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (To include other duties that may be assigned)Build rapport with Lakeside residents and guests Be proficient in verbal communication/de-escalation skillsProvide effective crowd controlWrite clear and concise daily and incident reports Open and secure buildings Conduct patrol/security functions Resolve civil disputes within Lakeside guidelinesRespond appropriately to alarms and call for assistanceSet up and facilitate Lakeside Bike Rodeo weeklyRespond to and make every attempt to resolve disturbances within Lakeside guidelinesInspect, test, and help maintain fire suppression equipmentConduct vehicle inspections as required for Lakeside stickerCoordinate with maintenance staff to report safety hazards or facility issuesDocument and follow up on lost and found propertyStaff and monitor road closures during special eventsProvide visitor guidance and directionsWill be certified in First Aid, CPR, and AEDEducation and/or Experience:Valid driver’s license is required.
Previous security, law enforcement, or safety experience preferred, but not required. Season Pass Eligibility: Employees are eligible for a season pass provided they work a minimum of 24 hours per week during the season; employees receiving Lakeside provided housing are required to work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
