Obstetrics Nurse Practitioner

OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Type: Locum Tenens / Full-Time

Overview: A clinic and hospital-based opportunity is available for an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner to provide primarily outpatient care with some inpatient coverage. This role involves managing obstetric and gynecologic patients in a collaborative practice setting.

Compensation:

$200/hr

Schedule:

Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (primarily clinic) Shared call schedule: 1:5 day call 1:10 night and weekend call

Practice Details:

Setting: Clinic with some hospital coverage EMR: Not specified Onsite lab and ultrasound (performed by technicians) Multidisciplinary team including OB/GYN physicians, APPs, and support staff No supervision responsibilities

Patient Volume:

Clinic: 20 patients per day Deliveries: 3 per week GYN procedures: 8 per week

Case Mix:

70% low-risk obstetrics 10% high-risk obstetrics 30% C-sections 10% office gynecology 10% surgical gynecology

Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient OB/GYN care Manage labor and delivery patients as needed Participate in call coverage Collaborate with physicians and care teams

Required Experience & Procedures:

Low-risk obstetric management Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) Routine and complicated deliveries (including C-sections) VBACs Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Preferred Experience:

High-risk obstetrics OB ultrasound performance and interpretation Minor gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, etc.)

Requirements:

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Required Active Colorado License Preferred BLS, ACLS, and NRP Required OB/GYN experience Required NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) Required

Must be able to obtain privileges prior to start
