Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a locum OB/GYN physician to provide urgent coverage from May through July 2026 for emergent gynecologic cases and OB deliveries. This role focuses on inpatient and emergency call coverage, including C-sections and OB/GYN emergencies, with a mix of 24-hour and overnight call shifts. The facility is looking for providers who can commit to multiple shifts per month and complete all Epic EMR onboarding requirements prior to starting.

Dates & Schedule

24-Hour Call Shifts (7a 7a):

• June
• June 29

12-Hour Night Call Shifts (7p 7a):

• May 28
• June 11
• June 16
• July 2
• July 5
• July 9
• July 27
• July 29
• Ongoing future dates may be added as schedules are released.
• Total need is approximately 9 10 shifts per month across all locums.
• Providers will not be scheduled for more than 2 3 consecutive days, and no more than 4 consecutive days total for patient safety.

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Setting: Inpatient, Emergency Room, and Call coverage at a Trauma Level III facility
• Duties include:
  • OB deliveries
  • C-sections
  • GYN emergency coverage
• Patient population: Adolescent and Adult
• Facility details:
  • 8-bed unit
  • Approximately 30 deliveries per month
  • Average 1 admission per day
  • In-house anesthesia available
• Coverage supports family practice OB providers (not midwives)
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: RN
• Reason for coverage: Staffing gaps

EMR & Onboarding Requirements

Providers must complete all Epic onboarding steps before their first shift, including:

• Pre-application and full application submission within 72 hours
• Epic learning modules
• Virtual Epic training
• AD account creation process (can take up to 5 days)

Candidates must provide:

• Years of Epic experience
• Most recent Epic usage date
• Last facility using Epic
• Time zone for virtual training
• Best phone number and personal email
• Badge-quality photo

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Completion of OB/GYN Residency
• Active Colorado license or active IMLC with LOQ at submission
• Active DEA preferred and required for credentialing
• Must be willing and able to work 24-hour call shifts
• Clean background required
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of submission required
• Must disclose:

  • Number of shifts available per month
  • Understanding of Epic training requirements
    

Credentialing Timeline:

• Temporary privileges: 60 days
• Full credentialing: 120 days
