Network Security EngineerBelfast or Glasgow Hybrid £55,000 - £65,000A leading Managed Services and Cyber Security provider is looking to add an experienced Network Security Engineer to its growing team.Working within a specialist Network Security function, you'll provide 3rd Line support across a varied customer base, resolving complex firewall and security incidents while working alongside experienced Security Architects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong security background who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction and working with enterprise technologies.The RoleAs a Network Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting, configuring and troubleshooting a range of network security solutions across multiple customer environments.Key responsibilities include:Providing 3rd Line technical support for network security incidentsConfiguring, maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise firewall solutionsSupporting Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5 and Juniper technologiesPerforming firewall rule reviews, policy optimisation and security hardeningTroubleshooting VPN connectivity (IPSec & SSL VPN)Investigating and resolving complex network and security issuesWorking directly with customers to deliver technical solutionsProducing technical documentation and supporting change managementCollaborating with Security Architects on customer projects when requiredAbout YouYou'll have experience working within a Network Security or Infrastructure Security role, ideally within an MSP or customer-facing environment.You'll have experience with some of the following:Palo Alto FirewallsFortinetCheck PointF5Juniper SRXTCP/IP, Routing, VLANs and NATVPN technologies (IPSec & SSL)Firewall troubleshooting and policy managementNetwork Security best practicesSecurity certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4/7, CCSA/CCSE or Security+ would be beneficial but aren't essential.What's On OfferSalary between £55,000 - £65,000Hybrid working from either the Belfast or Scotland officeExposure to enterprise Network Security technologiesWork alongside experienced Security ArchitectsOngoing technical training and certification supportExcellent career progression within a growing Cyber Security practice To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided or contact Senior Recruitment Consultant Stuart Kennedy at MCS Group on or .Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
