Nephrology Physician

Nephrology locum tenens opportunity in Pennsylvania offering a balanced mix of inpatient consults, outpatient clinic coverage, and call responsibilities. This ongoing need is ideal for providers seeking recurring block coverage within a well-established nephrology program.

Assignment Details

• Location: Pennsylvania
• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Start Date: As Soon as Credentialed
• Contract: Ongoing

Schedule

• Monday through Monday coverage blocks
• Minimum commitment of one week per month
• Two weeks per month preferred
• Outpatient clinic Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Evening and weekend call included during assigned coverage weeks

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
• Comfortable managing complex renal disease and inpatient nephrology consults
• Hemodialysis experience required
• EEG reading responsibilities at Reading Hospital required

• Bartter Syndrome
• Fabry Disease
• Fanconi Syndrome
• Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome
• Hepatorenal Syndrome
• Peritoneal Dialysis
• Renal Biopsy Procedures

Additional Details

• Approximately 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient responsibilities
• Minimum of five outpatient clinic patients daily
• Outpatient volume averages 5-10 patients per day
• Inpatient rounding and consultative services required
• EMR: Epic
• 15-minute call response expectation
