Role Overview
As a Motion Graphic Designer - Video Editor, you will use both traditional design techniques and AI-powered video editing tools to create engaging motion graphics, videos, and animations. Your role will involve editing and designing videos for a variety of formats, such as short-form social media videos, performance ads, client pitch videos, and brand films. You will use generative AI tools to streamline workflows and create visually striking content that resonates with our audience across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and animate motion graphics and video content for multiple formats, including short-form social media videos (Reels, YouTube Shorts), brand films, explainer videos, and paid ads.
- Edit video footage and integrate motion graphics, visual effects, and AI-enhanced elements to create engaging, platform-optimized videos.
- Use AI tools for video editing, such as automating repetitive tasks, generating background visuals, or enhancing video effects, all while maintaining high creative standards.
- Work collaboratively with the creative team, video editors, and designers to ensure the final videos are aligned with client needs and campaign goals.
- Ensure that videos maintain a strong editorial sense, with a focus on pacing, storytelling, rhythm, and sound design.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging AI video editing tools, incorporating them into the creative workflow to improve efficiency and innovation.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Ensure consistency in visual identity, sound design, and messaging across all video content.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an agency or content studio.
- Strong showreel demonstrating range across short-form, ads, and longer-form brand content.
- Hands-on experience producing content using generative AI video tools and workflows.
- Working knowledge of prompt craft for video and image generation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, sound design, and platform-specific best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight timelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Motion graphics and After Effects skills.
- Experience producing video for performance marketing campaigns.
- Basic colour grading and audio mixing capabilities.
