Medical Administration Officer

About the Role

Monash Imaging seeks Medical Administrative Officers to join the imaging administration network. This role provides high‑level customer service to patients across a variety of settings, including reception duties, phone management, appointment scheduling and support across shift rotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reception duties: meeting and greeting patients and families.
• Managing the phone system and scheduling appointments for internal and external patients.
• Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working as part of a rotational shift roster (day and afternoon shifts).
• Providing efficient and effective administrative support in a busy, team‑based environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in radiology or medical administration is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm in a challenging environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader multidisciplinary team.
• Hardworking, passionate, proactive with a dedicated work ethic.
• Flexible, adaptable, inclusive team member.
• Ability to learn new computer software with ease.

• Effective time‑management including planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
