Mechanical Design Engineer

Scope Technical has an immediate need for a dynamic mechanical design engineer in the Atlanta, GA area. This is a permanent, direct‑hire position.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical designs of heavy industrial equipment using SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
• Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
• Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
• Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD and Solidworks.
• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Background in sheet‑metal design.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Attentive to detail and critically minded.
• The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
