With a strong reputation for innovation and operational excellence, the business manages a complex supply chain network across multiple regions and customer segments.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where logistics performance and supply chain efficiency are critical to delivering high-quality service to customers.Your new roleAs a Logistics Coordinator & Demand Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of end-to-end supply chain operations across Europe.The position offers a unique blend of responsibilities:70% Logistics Operations30% Demand Planning SupportKey Responsibilities:Logistics & DistributionCoordinate daily outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and full process completion (including Post Goods Issue)Manage complex and specialised shipments, including urgent deliveries, demo equipment, and customer-specific requirementsWork closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and internal teamsInvestigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, and missing inventoryEnsure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standardsMonitor logistics performance and proactively identify risks or delaysSupply Chain & Demand PlanningSupport demand forecasting by collaborating with Sales and Marketing teamsBalance supply and demand to meet customer requirements while maintaining inventory targetsManage stock levels, including slow-moving and end-of-life inventoryEnsure accuracy across systems (e.g. SAP), including delivery schedules and stock dataMonitor supplier performance and coordinate supply timelinesThis is a highly collaborative role where you will interact with multiple stakeholders across operations, procurement, warehousing, and commercial teams to maintain strong service levels and operational excellence.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of logistics expertise, analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset.Essential Experience & Skills:Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution coordinationExperience working with warehousing, transport operations, or third-party logistics providersUnderstanding of import/export processes and IncotermsExposure to demand planning, forecasting, or inventory managementExperience using SAP or a similar ERP systemStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex logistics challengesKey Competencies:Highly organised with excellent attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to make decisions and take ownership of outcomesCommercial awareness and understanding of supply chain impact on business performance.Proactive and solution-focused, particularly under pressureWhat you'll get in returnOpportunity to work within a global supply chain operationExposure to both logistics execution and demand planning, offering strong career developmentA role with real ownership and cross-functional collaborationExperience managing complex, high-value supply chain operationsA dynamic and supportive team environment focused on continuous improvementWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
