The Librarian will create and manage a dynamic library environment that supports the school's academic programmes, promotes literacy, and encourages independent exploration and research.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the school library and ensure an organised, welcoming, and engaging learning space.Curate, catalogue, and maintain library resources including books, digital media, and research materials.Promote reading culture and literacy through storytelling sessions, reading programmes, author visits, book fairs, and library events.Support students and teachers with research skills, inquiry projects, and access to relevant resources.Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom learning and transdisciplinary units.Guide students in responsible digital citizenship and ethical use of information.Maintain accurate records of library inventory, circulation, and resource management systems.Stay updated with current literature, educational resources, and library technologies.Contribute to school initiatives, events, and the overall learning culture of the school community.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's/Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Librarian, preferably within an IB or international school setting.Experience in managing digital library systems and educational resources preferred.Strong understanding of literacy development and inquiry-based learning environments.Essential Skills & AttributesExcellent organisational and communication skills.Passion for books, literacy, and fostering student engagement.Warm, approachable, and student-centered personality.Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.Creativity and enthusiasm in planning library programmes and events.Reflective, proactive, and aligned with the philosophy and values of international education.How to ApplyInterested candidates may submit their cover letter, resume/CV, and contact details of three professional references to .
