Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant
Job type: 1- month contract OR Permanent, (Contract to Perm possibility), 5 days on-site, Calgary, AB.
Job Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 / Year.

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Wills & Estates practice group in Calgary. This is an excellent prospect for a senior legal administrative professional looking to work closely with experienced legal counsel on sophisticated estate planning and estate administration matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client communications, preparing legal documentation, coordinating estate files, and supporting day-to-day practice operations in a professional and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare wills, powers of attorney, personal directives, probate, and estate administration documentation
- Manage estate files from intake through completion
- Coordinate client meetings, signing appointments, and consultations
- Prepare engagement letters and intake documentation
- Draft, proofread, edit, and format legal documentation using advanced Microsoft Word functionality
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and conference calls
- Arrange couriers and filing of estate-related documentation as required
- Provide exceptional client service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Qualifications
- Legal Administrative Assistant diploma required (SAIT or equivalent accredited institution preferred)
- 6–8+ years of experience supporting a Wills & Estates practice within a law firm
- Experience preparing wills, probate, and estate administration documentation
- Solid understanding of estate planning and estate administration processes
- Advanced Microsoft Word and document formatting skills
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and professional judgment
