Job Description
Requirements We require 7+ years of experience building and delivering software applications in a production setting. We need the ability to contribute meaningfully to system design and architectural conversations. We are looking for experience mentoring engineers or offering technical direction within a team.
We value strong problem‑solving skills and clear communication. We prefer experience in full‑stack or backend development, with Java and SQL as the leading choices. We prefer familiarity with technologies such as Oracle Database, CockroachDB, Spring Boot, JBoss, JavaScript, containers, Linux, Rancher, Ansible, and Bamboo.
We prefer experience working in Agile product development environments. We consider candidates located in Utah, Tennessee, Texas, or Florida for remote work. We are based in Memphis, Tennessee, and the role is aligned to our Cordova, TN location.
Responsibilities We lead the technical direction of a product engineering team, shaping architecture and key engineering decisions. We own the full technical lifecycle of software delivery, from design and development through deployment and ongoing support. We write and review code, conduct system design reviews, and uphold strong engineering standards across the team.
We mentor engineers and help the team work through complex technical problems. We partner with product managers to plan, prioritize, and deliver product initiatives. We monitor production system performance and availability and resolve issues when they arise.
We contribute to architectural enhancements and automation that improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency. We participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.
