Job DescriptionJob DescriptiondeciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Junior Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.Position Description:deciBel Research is seeking a junior level software engineer to support software development efforts on a large Department of Defense (DoD) contract.Responsibilities Include:Software design and artifactsSoftware development, artifacts and source codeSoftware test procedures and resultsSoftware integration activities both on-site and at various locations, as necessaryConduct and Participate in engineering technical reviewsDocument work and artifacts in Engineering Data SDRLEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related disciplineExperience Requirements:5+ years' experience in software engineering on DoD programs.Experience with modern C++ (or comparable OOP) software development, code optimization, and automated testingExperience with scripting languages such as Python to support data analysis activitiesExperience with scrum-based Agile development practices using Jira, Confluence, and Git/GitLabProficiency developing software in Linux environmentsExperience creating and maintaining rigorous technical documentation.Strong analytical/math foundationSpecial Skills Desired:Development of radar modeling and simulation (M&S) softwareDevelopment of real-time softwareExperience with GPU (CUDA) accelerationExperience performing root cause analysisExperience with MatlabExperience working on a geographically distributed teamApplicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance.
