Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jewellery CAD Designer role based in Jaipur. The Jewellery CAD Designer will translate design concepts and hand sketches into precise 2D and 3D CAD models suitable for manufacturing and stone setting. Responsibilities include developing detailed construction drawings, ensuring technical feasibility and structural integrity, and collaborating closely with designers, craftsmen, and production teams.
The role involves refining designs based on feedback, optimizing designs for casting and finishing, and maintaining an organized digital library of models and technical documents. The Jewellery CAD Designer will also support prototyping, coordinate with vendors or internal teams on production specifications, and help uphold brand standards for aesthetics and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong design and visualization abilities, including Drawing and Technical Drawing skills to interpret and develop jewellery concepts accurately.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for jewellery, with experience creating 2D and 3D models and preparing files for manufacturing.
- Ability to produce precise Construction Drawings and design documentation to guide production, stone setting, and quality control.
- Understanding of Design Engineering principles as applied to jewellery, including metal thicknesses, setting techniques, and structural durability.
- Previous experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer or in a similar jewellery design/production role, preferably in fine or bridal jewellery.
- Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes such as casting, hand fabrication, and finishing, and familiarity with gemstones and metal properties.
- Attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple design projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, CAD Design, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
Experience required is minimum 3 years.
