IT Project Manager

Job Description Job Description This is a remote position. Seeking an IT Project Manager to provide support for DSS program areas working on technology implementations as well as: Lead a team of business and data analysts to oversee the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects. Assists with defining the strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.

Define business and technological requirements, consult with product owners, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives. Provides project management of highly complex large scale enterprise IT projects and smaller scale projects. Lead and coordinate efforts of development team and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.

Support business and operations staff with analysis and testing activities for information system changes. Prepare project status reports and documentation as needed to facilitate executive decision making and communicate project progress and risks. Ensures project governance and monitoring controls are in place and followed.

Responsible to ensure project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget. Mentor state personnel in project management and train state resources to take over this function. Requirements Required 5-8 years of the following: Successful experience managing information technology solutions PMP Certification or equivalent working experience.

Knowledge of various software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, etc). Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
