Reporting to the Team Lead, Infrastructure & Security Projects, the Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully delivering IT infrastructure initiatives across Teck Digital Systems (TDS).
This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure cybersecurity projects align with enterprise security strategy, operational requirements, and governance standards. The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will oversee initiatives related to areas such as: Enterprise Application Delivery Governance Utilize established project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) depending on project context. Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) with clear mitigation and escalation plans.
Lead steering committee updates, governance reporting, and executive communications. Ensure enterprise application projects align with organizational governance, architecture, compliance, and operational requirements. Support the development and maintenance of project management standards, procedures, and delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership Be a courageous safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures. Ensure infrastructure project activities support Teck's commitment to safe and reliable operations. IT Infrastructure Delivery Governance Utilize established project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) depending on project context.
Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) with clear mitigation and escalation plans. Lead steering committee updates, governance reporting, and executive communications. Ensure infrastructure projects align with organizational governance, architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational objectives.
Support the development and maintenance of project management standards, procedures, and delivery frameworks. Project Management Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities from initiation and planning through implementation, testing, deployment, transition to operations, and project close-out. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, financial forecasts, resource allocations, and risk/issue logs.
Ensure project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining delivery quality and operational stability. Coordinate change management activities including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, training, and operational readiness. Ensure project delivery aligns with Teck Digital Systems governance processes and cybersecurity standards.
Manage interdependencies across infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational technology (OT), enterprise applications, and site operations. Technical & Operational Coordination Coordinate implementation activities involving network infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud services, data centers, end-user computing, and operational technology environments. Support testing coordination, cutover planning, operational readiness, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
Ensure technical and operational documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained. Support issue triage and resolution activities during implementation and deployment phases. Coordinate transition-to-operations and sustainment activities to ensure successful operational adoption.
Vendor & Partner Management Coordinate with technology vendors, telecommunications providers, implementation partners, and consulting organizations. Review vendor deliverables, Statements of Work (SOWs), project change requests, and implementation plans. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual commitments and delivery expectations.
Support vendor coordination activities across multiple geographic regions and operating sites. Relationship Focus Build collaborative relationships across operational sites, business units, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external partners. Promote trust, transparency, and alignment across stakeholders.
Use strong written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and communicate project risks, issues, and delivery status effectively. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Encourage participation, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
Support organizational change associated with cybersecurity initiatives and operational improvements. Help teams adapt effectively to evolving security requirements and technologies. Understand enterprise security objectives, operational priorities, and business drivers.
Identify dependencies, delivery risks, and opportunities to improve delivery outcomes. Understand the long‑term direction of cybersecurity and technology initiatives and align project delivery accordingly. Qualifications 5–10+ years of experience managing infrastructure projects in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of infrastructure domains including: Network Infrastructure Telecommunications and LTE Systems Cloud Infrastructure Data Centers End User Computing Infrastructure Refresh Programs Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure Infrastructure Resiliency Experience delivering projects across geographically distributed locations and operational sites. Experience working in industrial, mining, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
Experience managing cross‑functional technical and operational teams. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is strongly preferred.
Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as: Microsoft Project Azure DevOps Jira Power BI PPM platforms PMP certification or equivalent project management experience required. Experience working with Latin American operations and stakeholders is considered a strong asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
