IT Advisor, Technology Consulting - AI & Data (Data Science) Manager (Multiple Positions) (1703399), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
Work with a wide variety of clients to deliver the latest data science technologies and operations research techniques. Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust solutions that unify, enrich, and analyze data from multiple sources. Assist clients in making data‑driven decisions by handling structured and unstructured data sets, building predictive models, and advising on best data‑mining practices.
Manage development of proof‑of‑concepts and pilots, contribute to cross‑functional teams, leverage in‑house data platforms, and recommend new platforms to exceed business requirements. Oversee daily operations of a global data and analytics team, review models, provide feedback, and support model development and data analysis. Build and apply data‑analysis algorithms, architect, and develop solutions leveraging big‑data technology to ingest, process, and analyze large, disparate data sets.
Lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, monitor progress to consistently deliver quality client services, maintain long‑term client relationships, and cultivate business‑development opportunities.
Work schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am–5:30 pm.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics, Operations Research, Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate related work experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of related work experience.
- Must have 4 years in professional services and/or consulting experience.
- Must have 4 years of hands‑on data science experience applied in business contexts.
- Must have 2 years of experience in concepts in big data and data engineering.
- Must have 4 years of experience in at least two of the following: R, Python, SQL, SAS, or similar core packages; ETL/data‑engineering skills and data cleansing using SQL‑based tools; data sources and structures such as APIs, NoSQL, RDBMS, Hadoop, S3, or Blob Storage; big‑data technologies in ecosystems like Hadoop, AWS, or Microsoft.
- Must have 2 years of experience managing teams of Data and Analytics professionals.
Travel is required approximately 80% of the time, up to 20% international travel.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $142,210 per year. Total rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time‑off options. Flexible vacation policy and a hybrid work model are available.
