Irrigation Technician (New Construction + Commercial) Southwest Florida
Company: SeaState Landscaping LLC
Location: Southwest Florida (travel between job sites)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18$22/hr (based on experience) + overtime as applicable
Schedule: MonFri, occasional Saturdays as needed
Role overview
Were hiring an Irrigation Technician to support primarily new construction irrigation installs, with some commercial work mixed in. Youll install systems to plan/spec, keep production moving, and make sure systems are clean, functional, and ready for turnover.
Responsibilities
Install complete irrigation systems for new construction (PVC mainline/laterals, manifolds, valves, heads/rotors, drip)Set and program controllers (Hunter/Rain Bird or similar) and verify proper zone operationPerform start-ups, pressure checks, coverage adjustments, and final punch/turnover itemsTroubleshoot and repair install-related issues (leaks, valve problems, low pressure, coverage gaps, controller/wiring issues)Read basic irrigation/site plans and follow layout/spec requirementsCoordinate with foreman/PM on materials, parts, and daily prioritiesMaintain job site cleanliness and follow safety proceduresHelp document work completed (photos/notes) when needed
Requirements
2+ years irrigation install experience (new construction preferred)Comfortable with PVC work, fittings, glue/primer, and clean installsWorking knowledge of basic irrigation electrical (valves, solenoids, timers/controllers, wiring)Familiar with common components (valves, heads, drip, controllers)Valid drivers license + reliable transportation to get to job sitesAble to work outdoors in Florida conditions and lift 50 lbsReliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a crew
