HVAC Project Manager

Job Title: HVAC Project ManagerLocation: Bangalore (with travel across project locations) Department: HVAC Projects Reporting To: Director / Head Projects

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager with over 10 years of hands-on expertise in executing VRF and Chiller-based HVAC systems. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, cost control, and client satisfaction across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & ManagementLead execution of HVAC projects including VRF, Chilled Water Systems, AHUs, FCUs, Ventilation systems Ensure projects are delivered within timeline, budget, and quality standards Prepare and monitor project schedules (MS Project / Primavera / Odoo ERP) Handle multiple projects simultaneously across regions

• Site ManagementOversee site teams including site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors Ensure proper installation practices as per drawings, BOQ, and specifications Conduct daily/weekly site reviews and progress tracking Ensure adherence to safety standards (EHS compliance)
• Technical CoordinationCoordinate with HVAC design team for drawings, heat load calculations, and revisions Review shop drawings, piping layouts, ducting layouts, and equipment selection Resolve technical challenges related to VRF systems, chillers, pumps, piping, controls Liaise with OEMs (LG, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, etc.) for technical support. 4. Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors Conduct client meetings, progress updates, and technical discussions Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and relationship management 5. Procurement & Vendor CoordinationCoordinate with procurement for material planning and timely delivery Evaluate and manage vendors and subcontractors Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality 6. Testing, Commissioning & HandoverLead testing & commissioning of VRF and chiller systems Ensure all systems are commissioned as per design and performance standards Manage snag closure, documentation, and final handover Ensure submission of as-built drawings, manuals, and reports 7. Cost & Budget ControlMonitor project costs vs budget Identify and control cost overruns Validate contractor bills and internal cost tracking 8. Documentation & ReportingMaintain project documentation including: DPR (Daily Progress Reports) WPR (Weekly Progress Reports) MOM (Minutes of Meeting) Update project status in ERP (Odoo preferred)

Key Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of: VRF Systems (LG, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Toshiba) Chiller Systems (Air-cooled & Water-cooled) HVAC Design Basics & Execution Piping (CHW, condenser water), ducting, insulation Understanding of controls & BMS integration

Managerial SkillsLeadership and team management Strong planning and scheduling ability Problem-solving and decision-making skills Negotiation and vendor management

Software SkillsMS Project / Primavera (preferred) AutoCAD (basic understanding) MS Excel (advanced)

Experience & QualificationExperience: Minimum 10+ years in HVAC project execution At least 10+ years handling VRF & Chiller projects independently Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
