Director, Human Resources Our client is a privately held manufacturing organization with approximately $300 million in annual revenue and more than 800 employees globally. With operations across North America and Asia, the company has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence, operational execution, and long‑standing customer relationships. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Human Resources will lead the HR function across multiple locations and serve as a trusted partner to ownership, senior leadership, and operational teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on HR leader who enjoys being close to the business, supporting operational leaders, and building practical people solutions that drive organizational performance. Please note: This role requires experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, distribution, logistics, or similarly operational environments. Candidates must have experience supporting both salaried and hourly employee populations and be comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Human Resources function across multiple manufacturing locations. Partner with ownership and senior leadership on workforce, organizational, and people‑related initiatives. Provide leadership across employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and compliance.
Support both salaried and hourly employee populations, including unionized environments. Strengthen employee engagement, retention, and leadership capability. Build scalable HR programs, processes, and infrastructure to support future growth.
Foster consistency and accountability across multiple locations and operating entities. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership of an HR function or senior HR team. Experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, distribution, logistics, or similarly operational environments.
Strong employee and labour relations experience. Experience supporting multi‑site operations. Demonstrated success building or enhancing HR programs, policies, and processes.
Experience within a privately held, entrepreneurial, family‑owned, or owner‑managed business environment is strongly preferred. They are comfortable rolling up their sleeves, partnering directly with leaders, and balancing strategic thinking with day‑to‑day execution.
