Position Overview
The HRBP / Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning the business unit’s objectives with team members and management, providing strategic and functional HR leadership and services to assigned units across the globe.
Location: Headquarters on Long Island, Melville, NY (hybrid: 3 to 4 days in office).

What You’ll Do
- Acts as a trusted advisor and partner to business leaders, providing advice, guidance, and support on all HR matters, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compensation.
- Optimizes organizational effectiveness through the application of HR processes such as organizational design and strategic planning.
- Drives talent management initiatives, including talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs; provides consulting and coaching to business leaders and managers.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Provides HR expertise in talent management, performance management, compensation design, organizational development, labor law compliance, training, and employee relations to designated business groups.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR operations to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provides day‑to‑day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; conducts thorough, objective investigations.
- Maintains in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of team members, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in human resources, including multi‑country HR support.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a strategic business partner role and in resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Previous experience leading, developing, and coaching junior HR team members.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience with HRIS systems; comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
- In‑depth knowledge of employment law and HR practices across North America.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in a global organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations issues and organizational change.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, ethical, and cultural awareness skills.
- Ability to build solid connections with key stakeholders and influence major decision‑makers.
- Solid time‑management skills, sense of urgency, detail‑oriented, organizational, and prioritization.
- Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to multi‑task and work under strict deadlines; process‑driven.
- Strong analytical skills; resourceful, problem‑solving aptitude, and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a global organization and/or airlines/hospitality.
- Experience providing multi‑country HR support, including Canada and India.
- Experience supporting an evolving, globally dispersed technology team.
- Professional credential (PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP).
- Second language desired.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time, Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and as needed nights and weekends. Hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 3 days in office; preference is 4 days.
Supervisory Responsibility
Yes. May supervise 1 to 2 remote HR team members.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel to our office in Toronto.

Compensation
Compensation is determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skill set, and location, as well as internal equity and external market benchmarks. A good‑faith annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000, plus 10% bonus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
