Loreto in Frogtown/Elysian Valley is looking for a Host to join the team! Full-time opportunity based on availability and performance.

We’re an upscale-casual Mexican seafood restaurant that specializes in seafood dishes inspired by the fresh ingredients from the Baja coast. We are a full bar restaurant with specialty cocktails and a curated wine selection. Mariscos Za Za Zá is our counter-service lunch concept at the same location.

Responsibilities

• Use OpenTable to manage reservations
• Meet and greet guests in an accommodating and friendly manner, as well as thanking all guests leaving the restaurant
• Maximize the reservation book and accommodate walk-ins and last-minute seating requests by understanding the flow of reservations/large group dining/private events
• Provide educated wait time estimates to guest through understanding of service flow and table progress
• Manage reservation system and waitlist to ensure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely manner
• Accurately identify VIPs and regulars and understand how to communicate those guests to the dining room staff
• Escorting guests into the dining room, ensuring cleanliness and accuracy of table set-up while doing so
• Assisting with re-setting the dining room as necessary in order to seat guests in a timely manner (this includes assisting with table adjustments are party sizes change)
• Maintain friendly and professional communication for guests seeking reservations and asking questions
• Maintain professional appearance and friendly attitude at all times
• Knowledge of Loreto and company FAQs for in-house guests and phone calls
• Reservation and table upkeep in OpenTable

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience
• Host experience
• OpenTable experience preferred, similar reservations platform required
• Be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending and standing during your scheduled shift.
• Ability to carry 25 lbs.

Compensation

• $19 hourly rate to start
• Included in full-house tip pool with completion of training
