HGV Driver

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our client's busy team in Hastings. As an HGV Driver (prefer HGV 1), new drivers are accepted, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of goods and providing an excellent customer service. The contract is for 5-6 months.

Excellent opportunity to gain experience as a new driver.Main DutiesEnsuring goods are safely secured and delivered on timeSupervising loading and unloading of the vehicleEnsuring that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer's propertyChecking goods off with customers and obtaining signaturesProviding excellent customer service at all timesCarrying out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe mannerPlanning routes and meeting delivery schedules, including overnight stops if neededLooking after the vehicle and ensuring that it is not subjected to unnecessary damageDriving within the tachograph law and driver hours limitsReporting any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedureComplying with all company policies and proceduresTaking pride in working to the highest standards and be a great ambassador for the companyExperience/QualificationsHolds a HGV driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on LicenceHolds a CPC LicenceHolds a Digi Tacho CardGood personal presentationBe able to deliver a high level of customer serviceMust be able to do the occasional night outWorking HoursMondays to FridaysWorking hours between 04.00 to 18.00, depending on deliveriesAdditional InformationPension SchemeOvertime per day is time and a halfWe will try to respond to reply to all applications.
