Job Description
A well-established and growing asset management firm is seeking a Head of Fund Operations to oversee and lead the operational infrastructure supporting its private equity platform. This is a highly confidential mandate and a critical leadership role within the organization.
The successful candidate will act as a key partner to senior management, investment professionals, and external service providers, ensuring seamless execution across fund operations, capital activity, and cash management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the end-to-end capital call and distribution process across private equity funds
- Oversee fund-level cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, ensuring optimal capital deployment and coverage
- Coordinate and track private equity funding mechanics, including investor contributions, capital movements, and allocations
- Serve as the primary operational contact for LPs, administrators, custodians, auditors, and banking partners
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and control across NAV inputs, funding schedules, and investor reporting
- Develop, enhance, and maintain robust operational controls, processes, and documentation
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Investment teams to support fund launches, closings, and ongoing operations
- Provide senior-level oversight on operational risk, escalation, and resolution of complex issues
- Support strategic initiatives as the platform scales, including process automation and operational efficiency improvements
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in private equity fund operations within an asset manager, private equity firm, or fund administrator
- Deep hands-on expertise with capital calls, distributions, and cash flow management
- Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, LP agreements, and operational workflows
- Proven ability to operate at a senior / leadership level, interfacing confidently with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Highly detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable operating in a confidential environment
- Experience managing or mentoring teams is preferred but not required
