The Role

You will provide leadership across engineering operations, overseeing both the Maintenance Manager and Improvement Manager, while ensuring the site is prepared for ongoing change, investment projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is heavily focused on operational leadership, engineering planning, maintenance strategy, and change implementation.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading all engineering operations across the site

Managing daily Tier 2 engineering meetings and resource planning activities

Driving engineering performance across a 6-day operating pattern, including planned Wednesday shutdown maintenance

Leading planned and preventative maintenance strategy

Supporting engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and the removal of obsolete machinery and systems

Delivering continuous improvement and operational change initiatives

Ensuring engineering priorities align with production and operational requirements

Developing engineering capability, structure, and performance across the department

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role

Strong maintenance planning and operational management capability

Experience leading engineering teams through change and improvement programmes

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Strong systems engineering and continuous improvement mindset

A hands-on leadership approach with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
