Job Description
Company Overview Ensemble is a leading provider of technology‑enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems, including hospitals and affiliated physician groups. We focus on keeping communities healthy by keeping hospitals healthy. Position Overview Remote position with required travel to client sites as needed. Compensation: $24.65 - $27.10/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities Complete root cause analysis of identified front and/or back‑end coding opportunities as assigned. Support or lead opportunity improvement projects as assigned. Research and provide coding guidance for new client service lines/services.
Maintain compliance with established corporate and departmental policies, quality improvement program, customer service and productivity expectations. Maintain workflow/process knowledge of each functional area of coding. Provide or assist with provider education and develop educational tools.
Communicate professionally with physicians, management, and peers. Participate in all educational activities including coding meetings/calls. Remain abreast of changes to payer guidelines, CCI edits and Coverage Determinations.
Mentor team members regarding coding guidelines and accuracy. Assist with training other coders. Take initiative for learning new skills and participate in projects, committees and other activities as deemed appropriate.
Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor. Possible travel for education sessions, CME events, etc. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 4 years coding experience (5 years preferred).
Extensive knowledge of physician front‑end and back‑end coding across multiple specialties. Expert knowledge in Cardiology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Radiology, Oncology, OBGYN, Gynecology, Behavioral Health, Urology, Nephrology, Vascular, Neurosurgery and General Surgery. Strong analytical skills and ability to provide education/support to coding team and providers.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD‑10, CPT and HCPCS. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and coding software tools such as EPIC. Dual certification (AAPC or AHIMA plus CPC or CCS).
Mobile phone access with adequate data for business needs. Willingness to use AI tools for process improvement. Experience with coding documentation education.
Education High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification. CPC or CCS.
Additional Information The position requires remote work with occasional travel to client, temporary or corporate office locations as business needs require.
