Food ServicesCoordinatorReports To:GRO AdministratorQualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalence. Must present proof upon hire.
Possess a valid Texas Drivers License and Texas minimum auto insurance requirements. Must provide proof upon hire.
Experience working for a residential setting or child-placing agency and knowledge of Minimum Standards and Residential Contracting is preferred but not required.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and in stressful situations and respond to crisis situations with patience and good judgment.
Present deep interest in working with youth from hard places.
Able to pass an FBI background check with no CPS case history.
Must be 21 or older (prefer 25 or older)
Must be female (biological female)Primary Purpose:The function of the Food Service staff is to provide weekly meal planning and preparation services, establish and build supportive and nurturing relationships, and to meet the dietary needs of each child in our care.Compensation Status:Full-Time/SalaryGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPerforms duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner.
Maintains a positive and cooperative working relationship with clients, administrative staff and co-workers
Works closely with Client Services team to ensure that food is prepared accordingly within the scope of daily activities.
Performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to the position.
Improves knowledge and skills through self-initiated and mandatory professional development training.
Successfully meets established annual performance goals.
Completing assignments on-time and attending to details accurately and efficiently.
Has regular attendance and complies with notification procedures for absences.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPlan out meals, snacks, and other dietary needsandcreatesmonthlymeal calendarsin advance.
Prepare and serve snacks and meals during weekdays.
Preps for weekend meals and daily breakfast.
Clean dishes and clean up the kitchen area in collaboration with the residents chores.
Oversight of the refrigerators & pantry keeping us compliant with local and state health agencies.
Oversight of kitchen supply inventory including appliances, groceries, dinnerware/cookware, cleaning supplies and any other items related to the kitchen.
Purchase groceries within the constraints of a pre-established budget.
Turns in receipts and other paperwork in a timely, accurate way that meets policy and procedure expectations.
Provide for dietary needs and restrictions among a diverse client base and always ensuring the availability of food and snacks to residents.WORKING CONDITIONS:Mental Demands:Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintaining emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands:Standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting items to 40-50lbs.
