Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview: The Drop In is looking for a hands-on Front of House Manager to lead our service team and ensure an exceptional guest experience from open to close. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and is passionate about hospitality, team culture, and smooth, efficient service.The FOH Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food service and hospitality that make The Drop In a standout. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
This position offers the opportunity to develop management expertise while contributing to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all front-of-house operations during serviceSet the tone for hospitality by actively engaging with guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphereTrain, coach, and support servers, bartenders, baristas, and support staffBuild and maintain a strong, positive, and accountable team cultureCreate and manage FOH schedules and oversee labor efficiencyMaintain flow of service, stepping in as needed to support the teamHandle guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionallyOversee service and maximize efficiencyEnsure cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the dining room and barCollaborate with BOH and ownership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and eventsCoordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation, quality control, and efficient service flowQualifications:2+ years of experience in a restaurant or bar management role (FOH-focused preferred)Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and direct a teamExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environmentExperience with scheduling and front-of-house systems preferredFlexible availability, including nights and weekendsWhat We’re Looking For: A natural host and leader who is comfortable on the floor, anticipates needs before they arise, and holds the team to a high standard.
