Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:In conjunction with other members of Fleet Management, responsible for proper management of all aspects of fleet operations; the day-to-day management of all fleet personnel, insuring they all adhere to vehicular laws, Company policies, rules & regulations and enforcement of same – including disciplinary actions when warranted. Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Manage all aspects of daily fleet operations including:Supervise the fleet employees in all aspects – including making ‘on the ground’ assessments of performance and making strategic/operational changes as situations change and rental car clients need so warrantEarly morning coordination with Counter Managers for Daily Game Plan of vehicle demandSupervise and direct all vehicle movement between locations to maximize efficiency and minimize wait timesEnsure counters are receiving keys to status on a timely and consistent basisSupervise and assign responsibilities for proper lot management at each locationEnsure proper staffing for each car rental client – adjusting manpower due to demand, vacations, sick calls, etc.Make sure all Vehicles are properly cleaned and prepped including tires and batteries in an efficient mannerEnsure all opening & closing duties are being done in accordance with car rental client standardsAll supplies and equipment required for above functions are properly stocked and reordered as needed and all equipment is in good working order- Employee Management responsibilities including:Training of all new employees in all aspects of their job and compliance with all company policies and proceduresAssist in on-going training and development of Service Agents, Leads, Return Agents & Shuttle DriversMonitor employee attendance, performance and productivity in conjunction with Management and HR Dept.Document all employee performance issues in conjunction with Management and H R Dept.- Other duties and responsibilities:Be fully informed of all company policies & procedures and set example by adhering to sameCoordinate with administrative support staff in all operational duties including staff scheduling; staff scheduled days off; monitoring of overtime hours by individual employeeAny and all other tasks that reasonably fall within this function as directed by managementRequirements:Must possess and maintain a valid, unexpired drivers license.Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
