Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Financial Services Associate Attorney in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves assisting and advising clients in corporate trust representation, commercial financing transactions, debt restructuring, loan workouts, and creditor remedies in bankruptcy and other insolvency proceedings. Duties Draft and negotiate transaction documents such as credit agreement amendments and ancillary loan documents.
Assist in reviewing legal documents for accuracy and completeness and conduct thorough due diligence. Conduct legal research and stay informed on legal developments impacting corporate trust. Provide practical legal advice to trust officers and corporate trust departments.
Respond to client inquiries and provide strategic guidance. Collaborate with law firm partners to ensure efficient handling of matters. Requirements Juris Doctor degree.
MN Attorney License. Minimum 6 months experience or equivalent coursework in Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings. Experience with financial and trustee-related documents.
Experience in financial due diligence, including UCC and tax lien searches. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Experience in a dynamic, fast‑paced legal environment.
Education Juris Doctor degree. Certifications MN Attorney License. Skills Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
Excellent legal research abilities. Effective communication and strategic guidance. Ability to work collaboratively with partners and clients.
