Engineering Stores CoordinatorMiddleton£33,000 - £36,000 plus benefitsMonday - Friday onlyOur client is a leading home textiles supplier, supplying UK High Street, Online and Major retailers. They now have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Stores Coordinator to join their team in Greater Manchester.About the role:The Engineering Stores Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of engineering stores, procurement of spare parts, and coordination with suppliers to support equipment reliability and minimise production downtime.The jobholder will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting planned maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement across the engineering function.Job Role Requirements:Adopt a proactive approach to managing engineering stores and stock controlMaintain accurate stock levels of critical spare parts to support productionRaise purchase orders and manage procurement of engineering componentsLiaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and service levelsNegotiate pricing and support cost-saving initiativesManage goods-in and goods-out processes, including checking and booking stockCarry out cycle counts and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracyMaintain and develop Kanban systems to support efficient stock replenishmentWork closely with finance to resolve invoice and delivery queriesProduce and monitor spend reports in line with budget controlsProvide general administrative support to the Engineering TeamSupport out-of-hours queries where required relating to urgent stock or partsEnsure stores and working areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised conditionEnsure all activities are carried out in line with Health & Safety requirementsWhat will you need?Experience working within a stores, engineering, or manufacturing environmentExperience using ERP systems (Sage preferred)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience in goods-in processes and stock control systemsExperience of cycle counting and inventory managementPrevious experience in engineering procurement and spare parts managementExperience of dealing with and negotiating with suppliersCounterbalance forklift truck licence preferred (training can be provided)Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloadGood communication skills and attention to detailTeam player with a flexible and proactive approachGood understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environmentApply online quoting reference number: NJR16762
