Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an Engineering Services Area Sales Manager. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of one of the following locations: Mountainside, NJ; Franklin, MA; or Boothwyn, PA. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside these areas.
What You’ll Do
The Area Sales Manager will manage a customer base, sales resources, products and channels to market to achieve planned results for the region. Responsibilities include leading and developing a sales team of sales professionals, sales reps, and distributor channels. Expected results include growth in sales and market share, channel development, and talent development within the district.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering and/or operations experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be a U.S. person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee) as required by export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical engineering services experience
- Experience managing people
- 10+ years of electrical industry experience

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in future
- Previous experience managing people and channels
- Superior knowledge of sales techniques, customer relationships and employee development
- Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels
- Significant sales presence to command in difficult sales situations
- Experience growing sales and market share, channel development, and employee talent
- Ability to travel up to 25% (closer to 35%)
The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. The target total compensation range is $153,564 - $304,836. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
