About the Role

As a Travel Emergency Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care in fast-paced MPS environments. You’ll manage patients with a wide range of acute presentations, work with dedicated MDT Teams, and deliver critical interventions in line with QLD Health protocols.

Key responsibilities:

• The ability to demonstrate competence in the provision of nursing care
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals, peers and the healthcare team to achieve goals and health outcomes
• Engage with the clinical nurse and others to achieve best practice outcomes
• Uphold Work Heath and Safety protocols

Locations – Mackay, Isacc, Whitsunday Regions (MHHS)

• Mackay Base Hospital
• Proserpine Hospital

Smaller / District & Multipurpose Sites:

• Bowen Hospital
• Sarina Hospital
• Dysart Hospital
• Moranbah Hospital
• Clermont MPS
• Collinsville MPS

What you’ll need

• Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse – Division 1)
• Rural experience (mandatory)
• Triage and resuscitation experience (mandatory)
• Ability to lead and manage the ward independently
• Experience working in a rural or remote setting
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
