Job Type: W2 Contract | Temp-to-Hire (Potential for Extension or Permanent Conversion)Electromechanical Test Technician SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Test Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of precision instrument systems in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for candidates with experience diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues while ensuring equipment meets strict functional and quality standards.This is a W2 temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for contract extension and possible conversion into a permanent full-time role based on performance and business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform production assembly, system analysis, testing, and performance optimization on electromechanical instrumentsBuild, integrate, and understand complete assembly processes for production systemsExecute functional and release testing using established test procedures and work instructionsAnalyze test data to determine pass/fail criteria and identify performance issuesTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related failures on non-functioning equipmentImplement corrective actions and optimize system performance based on test resultsCalibrate and fine-tune system movement, alignment, and light-based performance systemsIdentify defects and recommend process or design improvementsRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and workmanship standardsTrain and support production associates on testing procedures and assembly activitiesCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as neededEnsure all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standardsPerform material handling tasks for raw materials and subassembliesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentParticipate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiativesWork overtime as needed to support production demandsQualificationsMinimum RequirementsAssociate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related technical field OR5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshootingRequired SkillsExperience testing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems or precision instrumentsStrong diagnostic and analytical problem-solving abilitiesExperience with mechanical tools including torque drivers, gauges, and measurement instrumentsAbility to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specificationsStrong mathematical and data analysis skillsBasic PC proficiency in a Windows-based environmentAbility to manage multiple production priorities effectivelyStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and make sound technical decisionsPreferred ExperienceLean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experienceGMP or regulated manufacturing environment experienceExperience mentoring or training team membersFamiliarity with production testing and release validation processesCandidates with Experience in These Roles Are Encouraged to ApplyThis opportunity is a strong fit for candidates with experience in positions such as:Electromechanical TechnicianTest TechnicianInstrument TechnicianManufacturing Test TechnicianMechatronics TechnicianElectronics TechnicianElectrical Test TechnicianCalibration TechnicianEngineering TechnicianProduction Test TechnicianSystems Test TechnicianDiagnostic TechnicianInstrumentation TechnicianMechanical Test TechnicianValidation TechnicianAssembly & Test TechnicianManufacturing TechnicianAutomation TechnicianEquipment Test SpecialistField Service Technician (Electromechanical Equipment)Quality Test TechnicianTechnical Production TechnicianInstrument Assembly TechnicianTroubleshooting Technician
