Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across seven distribution centres (total of ~4 million sqft and 500 employees including 3PL), ensuring consistent execution of receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Drive customer on-time delivery metric, aligned with customer expectations.
- Develop and execute the long-term distribution and transportation strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead network optimisation initiatives, including capacity planning, facility layout design, automation, and continuous improvement programs.
- Establish KPIs and performance standards that drive efficiency, quality, safety and cost effectiveness across all sites.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape overall operations, including inventory flow, transportation models and customer service expectations.
- Drive standardisation of processes, systems and best practices across all facilities.
- Direct all outbound transportation activities, including carrier management, routing optimisation, freight cost control and service performance.
- Evaluate and implement transportation technologies and tools to improve visibility, efficiency and customer delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with carriers, brokers and logistics partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics or supply chain operations
- 5+ years of proven success leading multi-site distribution networks of significant scale
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing transportation networks, including carrier management, routing, freight optimisation and cost control
- 5+ years of strong background in 3PL management, contract negotiation and performance governance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) is strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of distribution centre operations, warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS)
- Expertise in network optimisation, capacity planning and process standardisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $174,500.00 and $348,500.00 per annum. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to both short and long-term incentives, subject to plan requirements.
