About Bart’s Bagels: 

Bart’s Bagels is a bagel bake house, smoked fish joint, and neighborhood coffee shop that elevates the ordinary and raises the bar for Jewish comfort food in Philadelphia. As we expand, we are building a strong commissary-to-store delivery system to ensure consistency, freshness, and efficiency across all locations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to transport food and supplies from our commissary to our retail locations. This is an intercompany delivery role only—no third-party or customer deliveries. The driver will operate a refrigerated 16-foot box truck and play a critical role in maintaining product quality and on-time operations.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Start time: 6:00 AM
• Typical shifts occur in the early morning through mid-day
• Consistent weekly schedule

Compensation

• $20 per hour
• Eligible for the following benefits after 90 days of employment:
  - Partially Company Paid Health Insurance - (Full-Time)
  - Company Paid Accident Insurance - (Full-Time & Part-Time)
  - Company Paid access to Vitable - (Full-Time & Part-Time)
  - PTO - (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a refrigerated delivery truck between Bart’s Bagels locations
• Load and unload food products and supplies
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Maintain proper temperature control (41°F or below) for all food items
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized
• Communicate with management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues
• Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately

Driver Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (non-CDL)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR check
• Must be approved under company commercial auto insurance
• Ability to safely operate a 16-foot refrigerated box truck
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Legal & Safety Requirements

• Must comply with all company Driver Safety Policies
• Must follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices
• No cell phone use while driving
• Must complete pre-trip vehicle inspections before each shift
• Must report all accidents or incidents immediately

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to load and unload product multiple times per shift
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior delivery or box truck driving experience
• Experience in food handling or restaurant operations
• Familiarity with the Philadelphia area
