Republic Media Network is looking for a passionate, dynamic, and sharp Defence Reporter (Delhi- NCR based) to join our editorial team.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of defence, national security, military affairs, strategic policy, and geopolitical developments, with the ability to break impactful stories and deliver accurate, compelling coverage across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:Cover defence, military, and national security-related developments across India and globallyBreak exclusive stories and deliver real-time updates from the fieldBuild and maintain strong sources across defence establishments, armed forces, government bodies, and strategic communitiesAttend press briefings, defence events, military exercises, and high-level interactionsProduce high-quality reports, live broadcasts, ground reports, and digital content under tight deadlinesCollaborate closely with editorial, production, and digital teams for comprehensive coverageEnsure factual accuracy, editorial integrity, and responsible journalism at all timesRequirements:Prior experience in defence, conflict, political, or investigative reporting preferredStrong understanding of defence affairs, security policies, geopolitics, and current affairsExcellent reporting, writing, and on-ground communication skillsAbility to work in high-pressure and fast-paced news environmentsWillingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours when requiredStrong source-building and storytelling abilities will be an added advantage
