Work alongside Similarwebbers from around the globe who are bright, curious, practical, and genuinely good people.We're hiring a Data Solutions Engineer (DSE) to combine deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing skills to design and deliver scalable data solutions for enterprise clients. You'll partner with Enterprise Sales and Account Management to lead technical discovery, solution design, and integration strategy across complex, consultative deals. This is a revenue-generating role focused on driving technical adoption and long-term customer success.What You'll DoTechnical Consultation & Solution DesignAct as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into scalable data architecturesDesign integration solutions using APIs, data feeds, and cloud platformsArchitect end-to-end data pipelines into client ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP)Lead technical workshops, POCs, and integration planningData Integration & DeliveryDesign and guide implementation of data ingestion workflows (API, S3, warehouse sharing)Advise on data formats (CSV, JSON, Parquet, Delta) and performance trade-offsEnsure scalable, secure, and high-performance data deliveryData Validation & POCsDeliver custom data samples aligned to client use casesUse SQL/Python to validate structure, schema, and analytical fitDemonstrate how Similarweb data integrates with client datasets and workflowsSales & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Sales on technical discovery, solutioning, and deal executionSupport Account Management on expansion and deeper adoptionCollaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Customer Success teamsBuild reusable demos, templates, and technical playbooksTechnical Leadership & InnovationStay current on cloud data architecture, APIs, and AI/LLM integrationsProvide feedback on APIs, schema design, and data deliverySupport technical governance, performance validation, and troubleshootingWhat You Bring to Similarweb:3-5+ years in solutions engineering, solution architecture, or data consultingExperience supporting enterprise, consultative sales cyclesStrong SQL and data modeling experienceDeep familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks)Experience with APIs (REST/GraphQL), JSON, and authentication methodsKnowledge of data formats (Parquet, Delta, CSV) and ETL conceptsExperience with AI/LLM integrations and Model Context Protocol (MCP)Background in data delivery via APIs, object storage, or warehouse sharingStrong ability to translate technical concepts into business valueExcellent communication and stakeholder managementHighly collaborative and solution-oriented*At Similarweb, collaborating with our colleagues in-office creates a more connected, unified culture.
Our best work is a product of our face-to-face collaboration, with the ability to work partially from home.*The base salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $150,000, plus benefits including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, potential equity, employee stock purchase plan and paid sick and parental leave.Individual compensation is based upon a number of factors, including qualifications and relevant experience.
